Tango

13yrs Welsh x Moorland
Tango's owner had noticed he had difficulty cantering off on one rein and generally seemed stiffer on this side. He had also previously suffered with laminitis and thought it would be interesting to see if this had any effect. At first glance there was a significant difference in the muscle build up around his shoulders which may have given him a strong and weak side, this was also slightly apparent in his rear end. During the first session which was kept basic he showed a very strong reaction to all moves down one side and needed an extended period of recovery between moves to allow him to fully benefit from the work done. He showed some unusual responses including sniffing his feet!! I left the owner with a few stretches to be carried out daily till our next session. He showed some progress after his first session so he had a further 3 sessions until his reactions and recovery periods were to a more normal level, even stopped sniffing his feet. He needed work generally all over but his strongest responses worked over his diagonal. He has had a further session since as a check up but seems to be doing well and working much better. The owner says she’s really noticed a big difference in his temperament and way of going, which is lovely to hear.
