About me

I am a 25yr old self employed groom. I own my own horses and have worked professionally with horses since 2002. My previous work has been in Eventing, Showing, Dressage and private yards including 2yrs as head girl.

I have done my BHS Horse Ownership up to level 4, my BHS Stage1 and my Riding and Road safety.. I hope to carry on with my Stages up to AI.

Maddy is my 9 year old 14hh Traditional Cob. I've had her for 4 years and she is an ongoing project. We have had many issues with her but have overcome them 1 by 1 with the help of a select few. We were going to try a bit of everything but after a ridden showing class decided she needed more brain work. We were hoping to go hunting this season but unfortunately missed it, so this year we shall be pleasure/endurance riding and working on our jumping. Looking to hunter trialling and hunting at the end of this year. (that reminds me I need to buy some superglue)

Taffie is a 16 year old 11hh Dartmoorx. She is on loan to us from the Mare and Foal Sanctuary. We initially got her as a companion for Maddy and a "pet" for my mum. We decided to take her to some inhand showing, which she loved and showed an enjoyment in working. Since then we decided to get her lunging and long lining which after a few small issues she thoroughly enjoyed. Last year I backed her with the view to finding her a little person, however after a few wobbles she took my weight well and I am hoping to bring her on this year. She has shown herself to be a cheeky little monkey who we all adore.
